KPulse Speak — Terms of Service

These are the rules for using KPulse Speak. By creating an account, you agree to them. During the beta, the Beta Tester Agreement also applies, and where the two disagree, the beta agreement wins.

1. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old.
Give a real email address — it's how you recover your account.
You're responsible for your password and for what happens under your account.
One account per person. Don't impersonate anyone else in your display name or profile photo.

2. Using the app

You may use KPulse Speak to learn Korean, personally and non-commercially. You may not:

Copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its lesson content
Reverse-engineer the app, or extract its code, prompts, audio, or curriculum
Use automated tools, scripts, or modified clients against the service
Abuse the AI features, or use Hani to generate content unrelated to language learning
Attempt to bypass Pulse limits, weekly allowances, or any other usage cap
Harass other learners, or use an offensive display name, username, or profile photo

Break these and we may suspend or delete your account.

3. Virtual items

Sparks, Pulse, XP, ranks, streaks, and achievements are not real money and have no cash value. They can't be sold, transferred, or exchanged outside the app. We may adjust their amounts, costs, or earning rates at any time, and may correct balances that result from a bug or from abuse.

4. Premium

Premium is an optional monthly subscription. The app works without it — Premium lifts the free tier's limits, and the fair-use ceilings that remain are described in the app.

Billing. Premium is US$9.99 per month. Payment is taken by Google Play, not by us, and we never see or hold your card details. Google converts that into your own currency and may adjust it for local taxes and pricing, so what you are charged can differ — the price shown in the app at the time you subscribe is the price you pay.

Renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again.

Refunds are handled by Google Play under their refund policy, not by us.

Price and contents may change. We will tell you before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does. If we ever have to reduce what Premium includes, the same applies.

A free trial, where offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first.

5. AI features

Hani and the app's other AI features are automated and imperfect. Their output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally strange. Nothing the AI produces is professional advice of any kind. Use your judgement, and verify anything important.

Content generated for you (roleplay scripts, feedback, replies) is provided for your personal learning use.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create — your profile photo, your feedback, your scanned images. By using the app you grant us the limited permission needed to operate it: to store your profile photo, process your recordings and photos to give you a result, and use your feedback to improve the app.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the app running but promise no particular uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

8. Liability

The app is provided as is, without warranties. To the maximum extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, or for lost progress or virtual items.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms.

⚠️ Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. The subscription lives in your Google account, not in ours, so we cannot stop it for you. Cancel it first in Google Play → Subscriptions, or Google will keep billing you for an account that no longer exists.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before taking effect.

Copyright

The KPulse Speak name, the Hani character, the curriculum, lesson content, roleplay scripts, artwork, audio, and source code are the property of the developer and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written permission.

Korean language content is drawn from the language itself, which belongs to no one. Everything around it is ours.
